Emergency services road awareness day

Admission - £3.00 per Adult - Children, age 6 -16 and Seniors £1.00

During the emergency services day we will be using a “Big Screen” supplied by Media Displays to show various “live” exercises and events throughout the day. The film crew from Media Displays will be operating wireless TV Camera’s, real time action can be filmed direct to the screen, allowing people to view the day’s events, from a distance and safely.

Devon and Cornwalls Police, own eye in the sky will be landing. For you to view on the day, see the Eurocopter BK117 C1-C close up

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service will by joining the Police and Ambulance Services during the day in a number of Road Traffic Displays

Helimed 181 will be flying in between calls to show us all why we are digging deep into to our pockets to keep this fantastic service in the air.

RNAS Culdrose will be joining us and landing for a close up, its really only when you see this beast up close do you really understand how good these chaps are.

The Ambulance Service will be helping in a number of car related displays, see the Paramedics and Technicians up close on the large event screens

Officers from the Police Traffic unit will be joining us with static displays

Cornwall Fire and Rescues new turn table ladder will be setting up to reach for the sky

If that joy rider should get away on foot then Devon and Cornwalls Police dog handler will be waiting to display. It really never does do, to try and get away.

Dartmoor Rescue will be on display to show us what happens if the fog grounds the helicopter and none of the lovely new engines can make it up the hill, its down to good old leg power.

Our local Coast Guard Team will be on hand to land our helicopters for us and be on the ready to rescue someone from a cliff, watch this space.

No we don't have any sea or a beach, but that never stopped the RNLI, who will have displays supporting Life Boats and Life Guards.
